This was one of the more interesting gold articles I’ve read recently. It traces the story from de Gaulle’s famous challenge to the dollar in 1965 to France’s quiet repatriation of 129 tonnes of gold in 2025–26. Curious what people here think… is this just routine reserve management, or part of a larger shift in how central banks view physical gold?
