Hi everyone,
I’m based in HK and I’ve been stacking since 2018. I just wanted to share something which I found astounding.
I usually don’t sell any of my stack unless I really need to. Unfortunately I was made redundant at the start of the year, so I’ve had to sell small portions of my stack to make ends meet.
Recently I was contacted by a buyer from Indonesia. I have my silver listed for a high price, marked up to retail price from HK local dealers. Asians always look for a deal so I don’t get many hits
So I have 3x 1kg bars for sale, and this buyer buys at my listed price. This was a month ago, so each bar went for about 14400HKD (1834USD).
He then tells me that bars in Indonesia are going for about 22400HKD at that time (+8000HKD per 1kg bar) i.e. 2853USD per 1KG bar. My mind was blown… This was back when Silver was about 49USD/oz.
There’s something big going on in the physical market. Don’t let go of your stack unless you really need the cash.
